Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a Junior Buyer/Expeditor for a reputable client located in Scotts Valley, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are keen on supporting purchasing decisions and processes within a dynamic team environment. Responsibilities

• Keep track of inventory levels and ensure products are available at competitive prices.
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain records of current and potential suppliers.
• Write purchase orders and oversee the progress of shipments.
• Arrange shipping costs and support senior buyers with purchase orders.
• Send open-order reports to suppliers and contact them regularly with prioritized items.
• Analyze MRP requirements versus purchase orders.
• Determine manufacturing constraints and resolve due date issues on parts.
• Facilitate materials receipts to support linear shipments to customers throughout the month.
• Report findings to Materials Management.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Competent negotiator with persistence.
• Professional appearance, behavior, and work ethic.
• Computer literacy, including MS Office, Excel, and MRP systems.
• Ability to work well with others in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to multitask while continuously meeting deadlines.
• College degree or some experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
